We balance the demands of fashion with the important needs of growing feet, giving help and reassurance. We're now one of the few department stores in the UK to offer this free service.

Where do I go for Back to School?
Back to school is located on the 3rd floor, within the Childrenswear department. In July we have a podium by the till points, where you can book an appointment with one of our schoolwear advisors.

How long can I expect to wait for a fit?
We monitor how long you have to wait before being served. During busier parts of the day you may have to wait anything up to half an hour; however, we are happy to take your mobile number if you want to shop else where in Peter Jones, and we’ll contact you as soon as your appointment is ready.

Can I get my shoe fitting done at the same time?
We run one booking system for both schoolwear and shoes, as our Partners can fit both.

What are the busiest times in back to school?
Our peak weeks are the last 2 weeks in August and the first week in September. We are available any time from now to deal with Back to School requests and we always encourage early shopping where possible to avoid any disappointment.

How can I be sure the uniform will fit the child in September if we order in July?
Our experienced schoolwear fitters always allow for a child's "summer growth spurts" and make sure that they start the new school in a great fitting uniform.

What quantities of each piece of uniform should I buy?
Our fitters will help you work out much uniform you will need.
